Absolute Label Services partner with Nitin Sawhney

Nitin Sawhney has partnered with Absolute Label Services for the UK release of his 10th studio album, Dystopian Dream.

The record will be released through Sawhney’s own label, Postiv-ID, on November 6, 2015. Absolute will be providing a full label service, including project management, digital and offline promotion and marketing, sales and distribution.

Led by new single, When I’m Gone feat. Stealth, the album is set to become a fully choreographed show with the innovative Wang-Ramirez Company. A raft of UK dates has also been announced in support of the album, including London’s Heaven on Tuesday, November 17.

Sawhney said: “When I first met the team from Absolute I was blown away by their sheer enthusiasm and inspiring energy. They had clearly listened a great deal to the new album and were already prepared with a very practical and exciting plan of how things would work. As an artist who is about to release his 10th studio album, I have always been supported by independent labels who have made my recording career as a solo artist an amazing journey.

“Now Absolute are able to give me my own independence and amplify my voice in a way that creates new models of possibility. This album will be released and supported with a tour, like any other of my albums, but it will have the additional element of choreography in a live show from the internationally renowned Wang Ramirez Company. Absolute are helping me to capitalise on the enormous potential of such a fresh and unprecedented endeavour. That is why I know I made the right decision in choosing to work with them.”

Mark Dowling, director, Absolute Label Services, added: “We are delighted that Nitin has chosen to work with us at Absolute Label Services as his partner in the independent sector. Nitin, as with all his previous work, has delivered a stunning album and we can’t wait for people to hear it. A true pioneer, Nitin is involved in a huge amount of activity surrounding the album which we will bolster, to give it the platform it deserves.”
