Bucks Music Group have partnered with Play Records Publishing, home of Canada’s dance label Play Records.
The deal will see Bucks representing over 1,000 works worldwide, including a number by Joel Zimmerman, better known as Deadmau5.
The catalogue also includes works by artists including Mellefresh, Azari and III, Spekrfrks, Calvertron, Billy Newton-Davis, Sick Individuals, Kolombo, Federico Scavo, Mendo, Craziibizia and Lazy Rich.
Established in 1996 by Melleny Melody and Zachary Spider Brown Smith, Play Records moved its offices from Toronto to King’s Cross in April last year, where it has opened a 2,500ft, multi-room studio space and writing facility called Play Deep Studios, home to the UK’s only Otari series 54, 32 channel, analogue inline, fully automated, mixing desk.
Bucks Music Group A&R manager Harri Davies said: “Play have a solid catalogue of works of which we will now be able to clear all master and publishing rights as a one stop shop – we look forward to working with them.”
