Foot Locker taps Gareth Bale as ambassador

Foot Locker Europe has announced Real Madrid star, Gareth Bale, as a brand ambassador for the coming year.
The 26-year-old Welsh international will represent the footwear apparel and accessories retailer in its European marketing campaigns.
Over the 12-month period, the winger will work on a variety of marketing projects and branding for the company.
Nick Jones, vice president and general manager, Foot Locker Europe, said: “We are delighted to have international footballer Gareth Bale as our latest Foot Locker signing. It’s such an exciting time in his career and we know Foot Locker fans will be as energized as we are.
“We will be working with Gareth as ambassador over the next twelve months on a variety of different projects and branding initiatives.”
Bale added: “Foot Locker was the go-to sneaker store for me as I was growing up, and it’s as popular as ever in my Madrid home. I’m delighted to be an ambassador for such an aspirational brand with appeal across Europe.”
The announcement follows the launch of a new brand logo for the player (below), which incorporates his playing number 11 and well known heart celebration, at the end of last year.
