Kanye West has signed with United Talent Agency (UTA) after leaving CAA and longtime agent Cara Lewis.
West followed Lewis to CAA when she left WME, where she had worked for 23 years, in 2012, tweeting: “William Morris was fired after Cara Lewis quit. I love Cara Lewis :)”
But an agency source told TheWrap the rapper felt CAA wasn’t delivering for him in areas outside touring. It also reports that CAA didn’t commission the majority of West’s touring because of his deal with promoter Live Nation.
CAA declined to comment.
Last week it was announced West will headline the Saturday night of this year’s Glastonbury Festival. He will release his seventh studio album So Help Me God through his GOOD Music label in the spring.
