Independent film production company Fulwell 73 has produced the winning video in the BRIT Awards’ British Artist Video Of The Year category for the last three three consecutive years, all three with One Direction, following the group’s win for their Drag Me Down video last week
Fulwell 73 is an independent London-based production company formed in 2007 by brothers Ben and Gabe Turner, cousin Leo Pearlman and long-term friend Ben Winston.
The company has worked with One Direction on several music videos and films, including This Is Us for Columbia Pictures, which took over $70 million at the box office.
The company also produced videos and adverts for You And I (British Artist Video Of The Year 2015), Midnight Memories, Story Of My Life, Best Song Ever (British Artist Video Of The Year 2014) , One Way Or Another
Ben Turner, partner at Fulwell 73: “It’s been amazing to work over the years with 1D. They have grown up in the spotlight, where it’s easy to lose your sense of self and they’ve continued to be a pleasure to work with. It’s certainly brought a huge amount of attention to the work we’ve done – the video is approaching 400 million views which is mind blowing.
“We’re honoured to have won another BRIT Award. It’s one of the big prizes in music and to be recognised in such a mainstream forum among other great work is great personally and professionally.
“To win three BRITs in a row is just unbelievable and to have collaborated over so many projects with 1D has been a lot of fun. We at Fulwell 73 feel like we’ve helped develop and aesthetic with the band so that an audience can in some way know what a One Direction clip will be like.”
VP of visual creative at Sony Music, Mike O’Keefe said: “To win it three years in a row is something we are all hugely proud of. Every first One Direction video from a new album is an event and we have always tried to do the unexpected, whether it features the band as Hollywood executives or astronauts.”
