Youth Music forms charity partnership with The Famous Company

National charity Youth Music and leading customer-focused music services agency The Famous Company have announced a charity partnership.

The partnership will be officially launched at The Famous Company’s fifth birthday celebration on Friday, October 23, at Kensington Roof Gardens, London, which will also be a fundraiser supporting the charity’s work.

Youth Music invests in 400 music projects around the country reaching out to over 75,000 vulnerable children and young people every year. The charity’s work is focused on young people who face significant challenges in their lives such as poverty, disability or mental health issues.

Matt Griffiths (pictured), CEO of Youth Music, said: “Youth Music is delighted to be working with The Famous Company. They really align with our values of providing music-making opportunities to young people who wouldn’t otherwise have the chance, and have a deep understanding ofthe power of music to change people’s lives.

“We are looking forward to forging a long and fruitful partnership”.The Famous Company will also be announcing details of The Famous Company Bursary worth £8,500 at the birthday event.

It plans to support Youth Music’s Give a Gig fundraising initiative with events such as Teen Takeover in Bristol in December. The gig at The Tunnels in Bristol on December 14, will feature six of The Famous Company’s acts alongside a headliner. A donation will be made to Youth Music from the proceeds of ticket sales.

Matt Allen, director of The Famous Company, said: ‘“It is so important for us that everyone is able to follow their dreams in life, and Youth Music provides fantastic opportunities to so many young people. We’ve been blown away with the work of the charity and by the young people we have had the opportunity to meet, so we hope that this is just the start of a fantastic charity partnership. The two brands certainly have a fantastic synergy.”
